Boy! Have I been a bad blogger! No blogging...no new art! Ugh! 'Normal' life is taking over! : )

In some exciting news...the Blowin' in the Wind piece and the mermid piece you see down below...are in California! In an art exhibit! How exciting is that!

I did just finish a piece for a friend (after much delay)...and I will take a pic of that tomorrow and share!

Crow on...dude!

I just love this party crow! This collage painting is done on a 6 x 6 stretched canvas. The background is handpainted with fun white and aqua polka dots! The party crow is also handpainted. He is wearing a fun collar in aqua tinsel garland! His party hat is made out of fun scrapbooking paper. The pom pom on his hat is also in aqua tinsel garland! He is ready to 'crow on'. This painting and collage was done on a 6 x 6 stretched canvas. The clouds and 'wind' are handpainted as well as the background and kites tale. The kite is made out of scrapbook paper and then the gal is handpainted onto the kite! Her crown is also made out of scrapbook paper. It reads 'blowin' in the wind'. This is a one of a kind piece. She'll be going on etsy soon!

Robins new digs! ; )

Check out Robins new digs! The base is a flat, wooden birdhouse. I covered the hole with vintage music paper, applied some to the roof as well...and then lined the eaves and base with vintage ric rac! Miz Robin was put on Bristol Board to make her sturdy. There is also some spanish moss among the flowers and in the entrance to feather her nest with! She just hung the wreath above her 'door' too! Quite the decorater she is! ; ) She'll be heading to etsy!

Spring is Anew!

This was done for a swap I joined. I hope my partner likes it! The eggs are painted pink and splattered with spring green! Perfect colors for spring!

The Spring Lady

The Spring Lady....on her way to the Spring Social...dressed in her finest dress with lace and her pearls...early as usual...as you know....the 'early bird gets the worm'!

I just finished this gal up! She is done on a 4 x 4 stretched canvas, her dress is handpainted with some vintage lace added, and her head and wings are from a vintage image.

Bunny Girl

I just finished this gal up! A little behind with the Easter theme...but....

She is hand painted on an 8 x 10 stretched canvas. Her Easter egg is some polka dot scrapbook paper! Her tail is full of glittery fluffy fun! She is so excited for Easter and the egg hunt! : )

Don't you just love her curly Q? She made me curl it before I was finished! : )
